Job summary

Wabtec Corporation in Barber Spring OH is seeking a Wheel Chock Assembler to join our manufacturing team. The role focuses on the safe operation of Pneumatic and handheld tools, identifying defects, disassembly, and reassembly with replacement parts, and testing products before packaging for shipment.

You will lift and move materials as needed, assist with basic maintenance, and uphold safety protocols while working collaboratively in a rotating shift with overtime as required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED preferred, or two years of related experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Ability to read and follow quality process/work instructions.
• Must obey all safety rules and wear all proper Personal Protection Equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret production schedules, operating and maintenance instructions.
• Able to communicate clearly with coworkers.

Responsibilities

• Perform the safe operation of Pneumatic and handheld tools.
• Identify defects and disassemble defective parts, then reassemble with replacement parts.
• Inspect and test product before packaging and labeling for shipments.
