Job summary

V3 Companies LTD, a multidisciplinary AEC firm, seeks a Wetland Scientist in Indiana to work across Indiana, Ohio, and Southwest Michigan. You’ll conduct fieldwork, prepare reports, and coordinate with the Wetlands & Ecology team on delineations and habitat evaluations.

A degree in wildlife, biology, or ecology is required along with 3–5 years of relevant experience. The role offers a competitive salary, benefits, and opportunities for professional growth within a privately held, growth-focused

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in wildlife management, biology, ecology, or a related field.
• 3–5 years of experience with wetland delineations, habitat evaluations and regulatory agency coordination in the Indiana/Ohio/Midwest.
• Experience with professional wetland delineations.
• Formal wetland delineation training (certificate of completion required).
• Ability to work in the field in inclement weather for long hours and travel throughout the Midwest with overnight stays.
• Must meet V3’s company vehicle driving requirements.
• Strong organizational and attention to detail skills.
• Willingness to learn and be part of a team.
• Strong communication and project coordination experience.
• Familiar with ESRI ArcGIS Pro and Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsibilities

• Conduct and manage project fieldwork within Power and Energy, private development markets and watershed planning.
• Complete project reports within assigned timelines and provide technical direction.
• Perform and coordinate fieldwork with the Wetlands and Ecology Team, including wetland delineations and habitat evaluations.
• Prepare, submit, and obtain Section 404/401 and isolated wetland permit approvals.
• Opportunity to work on natural resource design/build projects.
• Demonstrate a strong work ethic and responsible decision-making.
• Represent V3 at professional industry events.
• Offer feedback to supervisory staff on performance of existing processes and procedures.
