Job summary

NWPX Infrastructure, Inc. in Salt Lake City, UT, is seeking a hands-on concrete production worker to produce a wide variety of precast products daily to established standards. You will set up steel forms, read blueprints, pour concrete, and operate forklifts and other equipment.

Responsibilities include reworking items, maintaining cleanliness, and supporting a safe, efficient team environment with consistent attendance and reliability.

Qualifications

  • Must understand basic math, read a tape measure, and use various power tools.
  • Past experience with hand tools, saws, air tools, grinders preferred but not required.
  • High School diploma or GED is required or equivalent.

ABOUT THE JOB

To produce a wide variety of pre cast products daily to established standards and quality specifications

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Setting up steel forms including cutting and tying rebar/steel mesh caging and pouring concrete into molds
  • Read blue prints and CAD drawings
  • Rework and patch product
  • Operating heavy duty industrial equipment including forklifts
  • General housekeeping
  • Be a team player and willing to help out as needed and requested
  • Regular, reliable and predictable attendance is necessary in order to perform the essential functions of this position.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, ABILITIES
  • Must understand basic math skills, read and apply tape measure, use of various power tools
EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE
  • Past experience working with hand tools, saws, air tools, grinders is preferred, not required
  • Experience working with concrete would be preferred, not required
  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
SUPERVISION RECEIVED
  • Close Supervision: The incumbent is assigned duties according to specified procedures and receives detailed instructions. Work is checked frequently

Physical Requirements

Medium work: Exerting up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or up to 20 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects.

Visual Acuity

The worker is required to have visual acuity to perform an activity such as: Preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; extensive reading; visual inspection involving small defects, small parts, and/or operation of machines (including inspection) using measurement devices, and/or assembly or fabrication of parts at distances close to the eye.
