Job summary

Quantum Computing Inc. in Tempe, AZ seeks a Wet Processing Chemical Engineer to sustain and improve wet benches and fab automation. You will support design, install, and startup of new systems to ensure high uptime in the cleanroom and support areas.

The role requires 7–10+ years in semiconductor/photonic facilities, with strong PLC/HMI/SCADA experience and a collaborative, cross-functional mindset to work with process, EHS, IT, and vendors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 3–7+ years in facilities, controls, or automation engineering in high-tech manufacturing.
• Practical experience with industrial controls and automation (PLCs, HMIs, distributed I/O, alarm systems, data acquisition, or SCADA).
• Strong understanding of building systems supporting a fab environment.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for sustaining and improving facilities building systems and wet process equipment.
• Design, implement, and startup new systems during expansion periods.
• Develop automation solutions for fab tools and data collection.
• Create and maintain SOPs, P&IDs, and interlock documentation.
• Monitor tool health and drive root-cause analysis for excursions.
