Position Summary

The Wet Plant Operator is responsible for understanding and operating all equipment involved in maintaining product flow through the wet plant. This includes hands-on operation of equipment and automation systems, while adhering to safety regulations and practicing safe operations at all times.

Essential Functions

1. Conducts pre-shift inspections and JSAs, coordinating with relief operators for updates and instructions.
2. Operates wet plant equipment, including control systems, pumps, valves, cyclones, hydrosizers, scrubbers, and flotation equipment; reports malfunctions.
3. Monitors aggregate flow, recording and reporting processing rates.
4. Performs basic maintenance on equipment.
5. Troubleshoots processing issues and escalates significant problems to management.
6. Maintains plant cleanliness and waste management.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

• Educational background sufficient for documentation and record-keeping, or equivalent experience.
• Ability to perform basic math and use hand and measuring tools.
• Basic maintenance skills for inspecting and repairing equipment.
• Previous experience in sand plants or oilfields preferred.
• Effective communication skills, both written and spoken.
• Strong team orientation and self-motivation with minimal supervision.
• Willingness to work shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays.
• Ability to wear respirators and PPE.
• Authorized to work in the US and at least 18 years old.

Location

Position located approximately 20 miles south of San Antonio in Poteet, TX. Corporate housing is not available at this location.

Safety Sensitivity

This is a "safety sensitive" position as defined by relevant regulations. Drug and alcohol testing, including random testing, is required. Possession of a medical marijuana license does not exempt from testing or consequences.
