Job summary

Alkegen is seeking a Helper - Wet Machine (Stacker) to support production by removing and stacking wet laps from the wet machine roll in a safe, efficient manner. The role requires following SOPs, recording production data, and adhering to plant policies while maintaining quality and uptime.

The position supports the team, works rotating shifts, and requires reliability and teamwork to ensure smooth operation of the Wet Machine area, with opportunities for additional duties as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in papermaking or manufacturing preferred.
• Able to work rotating shifts.

Responsibilities

• Remove wet laps from the Wet Machine roll without damage.
• Stack wet laps straight and square, interleaf with press cloths if needed.
• Identify defects and report them to the Machine Tender.
• Assist in set-ups, wash-ups and minor maintenance to reduce downtime.
• Work with a partner to remove laps from the roll.
• Operate equipment and follow safety procedures.
• Keep the Wet Machine area clean and organized.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
• Adhere to company and location policies and safety rules.
• Be able to work extended hours when required.
• All other duties as assigned.
• These responsibilities may change to meet customer demands.
