Job summary

Stellant Systems in Williamsport, PA is seeking a Wet Lab Operator to work in the cleaning and plating room under minimal supervision. You will handle assemblies with PPE to prevent fingerprints and avoid contact with toxic chemicals.

Responsibilities include chemical cleaning, alkaline and ultrasonic processes, plating, thickness inspection by XRF, and maintaining documentation. Lifting up to 40–50 pounds, adhering to safety protocols, and coordinating with staff are required.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required.
• Post-secondary coursework in chemistry desired.
• Able to perform mathematical calculations.

Responsibilities

• Perform routine chemical cleaning of components: degrease acids and rinse tanks?
• Alkaline cleaning tanks
• Ultrasonic rinses
• Note: lifting of component baskets up to 40 pounds
• Calculate component plating area using actual part or drawing
• Electroplate components by adjusting voltages and currents to yield desired thicknesses
• Inspect plating thickness using XRF
• Replenish chemicals in baths to maintain concentrations
• Wear PPE at all times in cleaning and plating room and lab
• Document work activities in computer and paper logs
• Maintain work area in clean/orderly manner
• Maintain barcode accuracy at 100%
• Coordinate with other staff on status of in-process activities
• Inspect/PM equipment as specified
• Other duties as assigned
