Job summary

Tech Etch in Plymouth, MA is seeking a dedicated Flex Image Operator for the 2nd and 3rd shifts (Mon–Fri, 3:30 PM–12:00 AM and 9:00 PM–8:00 AM). You will perform manual wet chemical tank and conveyor etching on panel substrates, handle stripping and seeding steps, and support plating processes as needed.

Ideal candidates have a high school diploma or GED, 1 year of related manufacturing experience, and a strong focus on quality, safety, and documentation.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 1 year of experience in wet chemical etching, plating, or related manufacturing environment preferred.
• Ability to read written instructions clearly and write legibly for accurate documentation.
• Quality-driven mindset with keen attention to detail—ensuring each panel meets specifications before moving downstream.
• Strong mechanical aptitude and desire to learn new processes (e.g., plating).
• Excellent time-management skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced setting.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills—able to report measurements and log trends clearly.

Responsibilities

• Perform wet chemical tank and conveyor etching per standard work instructions to meet customer specifications.
• Read, interpret, and apply traveler notes for unique panel materials or etch depths.
• Measure panel dimensions and surface conditions using gauges to verify conformance.
• Document measurements, process parameters, and trends on product worksheets and traveler reviews.
• Fixture panels through wet etch tanks and conveyors, ensuring proper alignment to prevent defects.
• Cross-train for plating processes and support plating operations as needed.
• Maintain a clean, organized workspace and comply with safety regulations; rinse stations and waste disposal.
• Perform scheduled preventive maintenance on etch equipment per checklist.
• Complete daily tasks per production schedule with minimal supervision and meet throughput targets.
• Communicate feedback and issues to Lead or Supervisor promptly.
• Collaborate with team to support production demands and continuous improvement initiatives.
