Job summary

Onterris in Deer Park, Texas is seeking a Wet Chem Technician I to support multiple projects within a multidisciplinary team, interfacing with regulatory agencies and clients. The role requires a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field and ~1 year of lab experience.

You will analyze samples for a range of parameters, clean glassware, and maintain records. Schedule is Mon-Fri, 8am-5pm, with compensation of $20.00 to $22.00 per hour.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Chemistry, Biology, Environmental Science, or related field preferred.
• 1 year of relevant lab experience allows direct advancement to Tech II.

Responsibilities

• Analyze water and soil samples for alkalinity, conductivity, pH, and solids.
• Analyze samples for Oil & grease, cyanide, sulfides, and related parameters.
• Analyze for Ammonia, BOD, COD, Hexavalent Chromium, TOCWB.
• Clean glassware and maintain clean lab spaces.
• Keep organized records of sample prep and analyses.
• Assist with inventory of consumables and instrumentation.
• Comply with QA, Health & Safety programs, and other policies.
• Other duties as assigned by Lab leadership.
