  • Salary: $52,922 to $128,332
  • Step Placement: Based on education and experience as outlined in Article 4(D) of the SEA Contract.

Job Responsibilities

The Social Worker provides assessments and evaluations of students’ special educational needs. The Social Worker reports to the principal and/or the District Department Head for Social Work and Home Instruction.

Qualifications & Preferences

Teachers dually certified in TESOL, Bilingual Education, or ESL, with experience in Sheltered Instruction or fluency in a language other than English, will be given preference.

Certification & Compensation

This assignment is expected to continue for more than 40 days, requiring a Connecticut State Department of Education certification.

Long-Term Substitute Compensation: Certified - $200 per day.
