Join to apply for the Western Regional Project Manager role at Georgia-Pacific LLC.

Georgia-Pacific’s Project & Engineering Group is seeking a Project Manager to join our Western Regional Projects team. This role provides project leadership to 5-10 projects at a time across various phases and locations within the region.

This will be a remote role with 50% travel supporting manufacturing facilities on the west coast.

Our Team

The GP Projects & Engineering team works across the United States, collaborating with facilities on capital project development and execution. Our team includes engineers, project managers, and designers focused on quality delivery. We partner with mills as one team with a shared vision and goals.

What You Will Do
  • Interface with Project Management Organization (PMO), Businesses, and Plant Leadership to develop and deliver small to medium projects (up to $15M) aimed at reducing costs, increasing capacity, improving safety, and sustaining operations.
  • Promote a team culture focused on meeting commitments and maintaining safety excellence.
  • Empower team members by clarifying project expectations and ensuring accountability.
  • Provide leadership to remove project obstacles by collaborating with others.
  • Facilitate interactions between design-build partners and internal GP teams.
  • Plan, execute, and close out projects, managing scope, cost, schedule, and risk.
  • Oversee GP-procured equipment and services.
  • Manage project change processes.
  • Coordinate stakeholder engagement and project startup activities.
  • Drive continuous improvement using lean construction principles.
  • Manage key external partner relationships.
Who You Are (Basic Qualifications)
  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Experience with project and construction management systems.
  • Willing and able to travel regionally at least 50% of the time.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
What Will Put You Ahead
  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Experience with LEAN project delivery methodologies.
  • Industry experience in pulp, paper, or building products.
  • 5+ years managing industrial or manufacturing construction projects.
  • 3+ years in design-build or similar project execution methods.

Salary range for this role is estimated at $100k - $150k per year, potentially variable based on performance and market factors.
