Join to apply for the Western Regional Project Manager role at Georgia-Pacific LLC.

Georgia-Pacific’s Project & Engineering Group is seeking a Project Manager to join our Western Regional Projects team. This role provides project leadership for 5-10 projects simultaneously, across various phases and locations within the region. It is a remote role with 50% travel supporting manufacturing facilities on the west coast.

Our Team: The GP Projects & Engineering team collaborates across the United States, focusing on capital project development and execution. We are engineers, project managers, and designers committed to quality delivery, working as one team with a shared vision and goal.

What You Will Do:

  • Coordinate with the Project Management Organization (PMO), Business units, and Plant Leadership to deliver small to medium projects (up to $15M) aimed at reducing costs, increasing capacity, enhancing safety, and sustaining operations.
  • Foster a team culture centered on commitments and safety excellence.
  • Empower team members by clarifying project responsibilities and expectations.
  • Lead efforts to remove project obstacles collaboratively.
  • Coordinate between design-build partners and internal GP teams.
  • Manage the entire project lifecycle, including scope, budget, schedule, and risk management.
  • Oversee procurement and installation of equipment and services.
  • Manage project change processes and stakeholder engagement, ensuring smooth project startup and readiness.
  • Promote continuous improvement through lean construction principles.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with key external partners.

Basic Qualifications:

  • At least 5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of project and construction management systems and concepts.
  • Willingness and ability to travel regionally at least 50% of the time.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or higher in Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.
  • Experience with LEAN project delivery methodologies.
  • Industry experience in pulp, paper, or building products.
  • Over 5 years of project/construction management experience in industrial settings.
  • 3+ years in design-build or similar project delivery methods.

Estimated salary range: $100k - $150k per year, with potential variable pay.
