Job summary

National Jewish Health is seeking an accomplished Managing Director, Western Region to lead fundraising across Los Angeles, Chicago and Arizona. The role directs regional development activities, builds and mentors teams, and advances philanthropic support through donor cultivation, solicitation and stewardship.

Based in the Los Angeles area, the position requires about 30% travel and, when not traveling, four days per week in the LA office to support collaboration and donor engagement.

Responsibilities

• Leads fundraising activities across multiple regional markets, including major gifts, planned giving, annual giving, endowment, capital and fundraising event initiatives.
• Manages, develops and mentors regional development staff, providing leadership, guidance and performance oversight.
• Develops and implements fundraising strategies and goals in partnership with development leadership.
• Cultivates relationships with donors, trustees, volunteers, physicians and senior administrators to advance philanthropic support.
• Oversees fundraising operations, including budgets, reporting, prospect management, donor documentation and compliance requirements.
