Qualifications

• Instructs students in a classroom, lab, learning center, online, or other setting.
• Provides student contact before or after class or through telephone or email exchanges or office hours where facilities and schedules permit.
• Prepares, distributes, and utilizes instructional materials including syllabi, supplementary materials, instructional media, and other devices; uses latest classroom technology when available.
• Structures classes and curriculum to meet program objectives; prepares clear objectives for each course; maintains currency of curriculum.
• Fosters a learning environment that supports diversity and is sensitive to diversity within the College community.
• Maintains classroom, lab, and departmental equipment and security of facilities and materials.
• Convenes classes on time and as scheduled.
• Maintains evaluation and grading records; enters grades and documents incompletes.
• Ensures safe working and classroom conditions and practices.

Responsibilities

• Participates in professional development activities as required.
• Attends in-service sessions and division meetings as required.
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
