Job summary

Westchester Medical Center Health Network seeks an SVP, Chief Operating Officer to oversee the daily operations of the Westchester Campus, including the med/surg hospital, Children’s hospital and Behavioral Health facilities. The role drives operational excellence, quality, and collaboration with Finance, Nursing and Medical leadership to meet strategic targets.

Qualifications

• Experience: A minimum of ten years’ hospital administration experience preferred.
• Education: Bachelor’s degree and a master’s degree in business administration/finance required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Westchester Campus.
• Oversee the technological and physical plant departmental upgrades as it relates to respective departments, including but not limited to, vendor selection, contract negotiations, and physician engagement.
• Assumes responsibility of Administrator on-call according to rotating schedule.
• Responsible for the administrative direction of the operations and improving the financial viability of respective departments within the Westchester Region.
• Coordinates program implementation with local Network leadership to ensure optimal resource utilization and achievement of performance targets.
• Participates in special projects across all areas of operations.
