Job summary

British American Household Staffing is seeking an experienced housekeeper for a West Village residence (3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 4,300 sq ft). The schedule is 16–24 hours per week (2–3 days, with weekend hours possible), with potential to extend to 30–35 hours if cooking duties are added.

The ideal candidate is discreet, highly organized, and capable of working independently. Daily cleaning, laundry, light ironing, and tidiness are core responsibilities.

Qualifications

• Must be discreet, professional and trustworthy.
• Exceptional housekeeping and organizational skills.
• Strong attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently and anticipate household needs.
• Must be comfortable with stairs.

Responsibilities

• Daily cleaning and maintenance of the residence (vacuuming, dusting, mopping, sanitizing, etc.).
• Deep cleaning and detailed care of all rooms and surfaces.
• Care of fine furnishings and specialty materials.
• Laundry.
• Light ironing about 1x/week, select items here and there.
• Household organization and tidiness.
• If cooking, it will be about 3 dinners per week and 3 simple lunches.
