Job summary

British American Household Staffing seeks a meticulous, part-time housekeeper for a private Upper East Side residence. The role runs 9:00 AM–3:00 PM, Monday–Friday (30 hours/week).

You will maintain a beautifully organized home, handle laundry and ironing, and supervise pets and children in a discreet, professional manner. Ideal candidates are experienced in private residences, with strong organizational skills and a proven ability to work independently.

Qualifications

• Previous experience as a professional housekeeper in a private residence.
• Excellent ironing, laundry, and garment-care skills.
• Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail.
• Ability to work independently, be proactive, and discreet.

Responsibilities

• Maintain cleanliness, organization, and upkeep of the residence.
• Perform routine cleaning tasks including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and surface care.
• Keep kitchen clean, sanitize counters, manage dishes, and deep-clean appliances as needed.
• Clean and sanitize bathrooms; restock supplies.
• Handle all household laundry, ironing, and linen changes.
• Care for dogs and supervise children-friendly areas.
• Coordinate with vendors for occasional repairs and light errands.
