Job summary

Altera seeks a Signal Processing Specialist Field Applications Engineer (FAE) to act as a trusted technical advisor. You will help architect, develop, and deploy high-performance signal processing solutions on Altera FPGA and heterogeneous compute tech across diverse applications.

You will engage directly with customer teams, drive strategic opportunities, and guide the complete design cycle from concept to production. A strong DSP background and FPFA experience are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in EE/CE/CS or related STEM field.
• 10+ years in signal processing, communications, radar, RF, imaging, or related domains.
• 10+ years developing FPGA-based or hardware-accelerated solutions.
• Strong DSP concepts and implementation techniques.
• Experience with FPGA environments like Quartus, Vivado, or equivalent.
• Proficiency with MATLAB, Simulink, Python, C/C++, or similar tools.
• Ability to travel as required.

Responsibilities

• Act as the primary technical advisor for signal processing applications utilizing Altera FPGA solutions.
• Lead discussions on signal processing, communications, radar, imaging, AI/ML inference, and RF systems.
• Guide customers through the design cycle from algorithm development to FPGA deployment.
• Support performance optimization and hardware acceleration strategies using FPGA processing.
