POSITION: SALES ASSOCIATE/MATERIAL HANDLER

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Greeting customers and donors courteously, providing prompt assistance.
  • Stocking and merchandising items on the sales floor.
  • Maintaining store cleanliness and organization, including donation areas.
  • Following POS/Cash Register policies in line with TSA procedures.
  • Ensuring safety and compliance standards are met.
  • Attending monthly store meetings.
  • Receiving, unloading, and stocking inventory accurately.
  • Inspecting products for defects and damages.
  • Assisting donors with removal of donated items and issuing receipts.
  • Sorting donated materials into proper containers and stacking as instructed.
  • Performing additional duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or GED preferred.
  • Ability to operate POS/Cash Register accurately.
  • Must pass background checks including Criminal History and Sex Offender Registry.
  • Effective communication skills with management, staff, customers, and donors.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to sit, walk, stand, bend, squat, climb, kneel, and twist regularly.
  • Ability to grasp, push, pull objects like carts, fixtures, and furniture.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
  • Ability to perform repetitive motions.
  • Perform duties with or without reasonable accommodations.

Schedule

Our stores operate 7 days a week. Schedules are determined by management, and employees must be flexible to ensure adequate coverage, including evenings, weekends, and holidays for part-time roles.

Qualifications

  • High School diploma or equivalent (required).
