Job summary
Bluetec Engineering GmbH & Co. KG on the West Coast is seeking a Field Service Technician to install, service, repair and optimize sophisticated food processing equipment.
You will be part of a German engineering company expanding its U.S. presence, with California as the primary territory and extensive travel across the West Coast to support customers and keep systems running at peak performance.
Qualifications
- Technical education in Mechatronics, Electrical Technology, Electromechanics or similar field.
- At least 2 years of experience in industrial maintenance, installation, or field service.
- Experience with automated machinery and industrial processing equipment.
- Experience with Siemens PLCs, TIA Portal and STEP 7.
- Knowledge of NEC / NFPA 70 and U.S. safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform mechanical and electrical maintenance, repairs and service on thermal processing equipment.
- Troubleshoot electrical controls, sensors, burner controls, and HMI systems.
- Diagnose PLC issues and perform basic programming with Siemens TIA Portal / STEP 7.
- Install, commission and troubleshoot at customer sites.
- Write service reports and document completed work.
- Train customer personnel on equipment operation and basic troubleshooting.
