Job summary

Sierra Club is seeking an Advancement Director for the West to identify, cultivate, and solicit gifts of $25,000+; you will manage a high-potential portfolio and connect donor interests with campaigns across the Pacific Northwest.

This fully remote role (preferred within Pacific Northwest) requires 30–40% travel, collaboration with senior leaders, and a disciplined, data-driven approach to building a major gifts program that sustains powerful environmental justice work.

Qualifications

• Senior-level fundraising experience with major gifts (six-figure or higher).
• Ability to identify, qualify, cultivate and solicit donors and institutions.
• Proven track record building a revenue pipeline and meeting fundraising goals.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of high-potential prospects and donors.
• Cultivate, solicit, and steward gifts of $25,000+ across the West/Northwest regions.
• Collaborate with senior leaders to develop donor-focused programs and materials.
• Maintain donor records and provide timely reporting and strategy adjustments.
