Job summary

Palm Beach Tan, a national tanning salon brand, is seeking passionate, hardworking individuals to join our team in Statesville. We offer a vibrant work environment, customer service and sales training, flexible schedules, and opportunities for advancement.

Compensation includes $10.50–$15.00+ per hour with up to 12% commission, plus a comprehensive benefits package for full-time staff. Join a supportive team focused on growth, goal setting, and delivering great customer experiences.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience in retail or customer service is preferred.
• Ability to stand, bend, and walk for 7+ hours daily; lift up to 25 pounds.
• Reliable transportation and flexible availability, including nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Recruit, select, and orient salon staff.
• Train, motivate, and coach sales staff to hit goals.
• Schedule and manage employee work assignments and follow up on results.
• Monitor expenses to meet financial objectives.
• Keep salons clean, stocked, organized and customer-ready.
• Establish rapport with customers and build loyalty.
• Create a positive, motivating team environment.
• Address customer concerns in a timely, professional manner.
• Analyze daily sales and expenses to maximize profits.
• Safeguard cash handling and banking responsibilities.

On the job training to learn management responsibilities includes:

• Maintaining salon staff by recruiting, selecting, and orienting employees.
• Achieving sales goals and other performance criteria by training, motivating, mentoring, and providing feedback to sales staff, including coaching, counseling, and correcting employees.
• Completing company operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees; following up on work results.
• Achieving financial objectives through effective monitoring controllable expenses such as labor, cost of sales, and expenses.
• Maintaining the stability and reputation of the salon by complying with all legal requirements.
• Managing and assigning tasks appropriately to ensure the salons are clean, adequately stocked, organized, well-kept, and customer ready.
• Establishing rapport with customers building loyalty and long-term relationships
• Creating a positive, motivating, team based environment.
• Investigating and resolving customer concerns in a timely and professional manner.
• Analyzing daily sales and expense information and performing all other financial analyses to maximize sales and net profits.
• Safeguarding and accounting for all money received and being responsible for banking requirements.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Proven experience in retail/customer service environment
• Ability to effectively influence othersMust be able to stand, bend, and walk for long periods of time, for 7+ hours per day
• Must be able to lift 25 pounds without assistance
• Reliable transportation, flexible availability, including nights and weekends
