Job summary

YMCA of Greater Houston is seeking a Full-Time Exempt role to lead youth development, healthy living and social responsibility programs. The person will oversee the Foster Family Y personal training and wellness floor, manage staff, budget, and community relations, while supporting association-wide initiatives.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, plus Personal Training Certification; experience in a nonprofit setting and strong communication skills are essential for success.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a related field.
• Two–three years of related programming experience in a non-profit environment preferred.
• Certification in Personal Training.
• Minimum age 21 years old.
• Knowledge of diverse populations preferred.
• Ability to collaborate with community organizations.
• Excellent written and oral communication with children and adults.
• Willingness to work with children and families.

Responsibilities

• Develops, organizes and implements high quality programs focused on youth development, healthy living and social responsibility.
• Recruits, hires, trains, and directs staff and volunteers; evaluates performance.
• Develops program budgets and monitors registrations and accounts receivable.
• Assists with marketing, registrations and social media planning.
• Supports fundraising activities and center operations.
• Maintains compliance with safety and certification requirements.
