Job summary

San Francisco Campus for Jewish Living is seeking a Wellness Nurse Supervisor to oversee the Health & Wellness Department, supervise caregiving staff, coordinate resident medical services, and ensure regulatory compliance with hands-on support.

You will lead training, mentorship, and performance evaluations while maintaining accurate records and coordinating medical appointments in a high-quality care environment for older adults.

Qualifications

• Current and active State of California LVN or RN licensure.
• Minimum of two years of LVN nursing experience and/or two years in assisted living as Medication Technician or Caregiver.
• New RN graduates may be considered.
• Supervisory or management experience strongly preferred.
• Experience in assisted living preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required; coursework in medical terminology or health services preferred.
• Current CPR/First Aid certification required.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to delegate, lead a team, and manage multiple priorities effectively.
• Knowledge of elderly care standards, infection control practices, and universal precautions.
• Demonstrated compassion for older adults and commitment to providing high-quality care.

Responsibilities

• Supervise medication technicians and caregiving staff, ensuring accurate shift handoffs and timely documentation.
• Oversee and maintain accurate, complete, and confidential records related to medications, treatments, and resident care.
• Assist with resident admissions, discharges, and transfers; compile and manage medical charts.
• Lead implementation of infection control policies, including COVID-19 protocols, visitation guidelines, and staff compliance measures.
• Coordinate and monitor resident medical appointments and transportation logistics.
• Triage residents experiencing health changes or urgent needs and provide immediate clinical support.
• Address resident and family concerns with professionalism and compassion.
• Communicate changes in resident status to physicians, families, and interdisciplinary team members.
• Support hiring, onboarding, scheduling, and performance evaluations of wellness staff.
• Develop and lead training sessions, in-services, and mentoring programs to promote best practices.
• Maintain medical supply inventory and ensure timely ordering and stocking.
• Conduct regular audits of documentation and systems to ensure compliance and quality improvement.
• Provide medication and caregiving support as needed, including administering medications, triaging incidents, and updating care plans.
• Uphold infection control procedures, safety protocols, and regulatory requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support department operations and resident care.

POSITION SUMMARY

As a Wellness Nurse Supervisor, you will support the Health & Wellness Department by supervising caregiving staff, coordinating resident medical services, overseeing documentation and regulatory compliance, andfacilitatingcommunication with residents, families, and external providers. • Hours: AM shift: 7 AM - 3:30 PM; PM: 3 PM - 11:30 PM ; NOC: 11 PM - 7:30 AM

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS
