Job Description

Led by the community's Health and Wellness Director (RN), our Wellness Nurse is a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) who provides direct nursing care to residents with an emphasis on holistic wellness. They also supervise the day-to-day nursing activities performed by care staff, including Home Health Aides (HHAs). As part of the team, you will help create the foundation and culture of this new community as we open our doors for residents. Apply now for consideration and/or to learn more.

Schedule

The Wellness Nurse (LPN) is a part-time position (at least 22 hours per week) with shifts from 7am - 3pm / 3pm - 11pm. Salary range: $35-38/hr.

Responsibilities and Duties
  • Monitor the health, safety, and well-being of all residents
  • Assist in training and monitoring medication administration
  • Supervise care staff in accordance with current state regulations and community policies
  • Maintain clinical quality assurance in accordance with federal, state, and local standards
  • Promote the highest level of service to residents while exemplifying the company's mission
  • Conduct thorough resident assessments
Qualifications
  • Graduation from an accredited School of Nursing with a current LPN license
  • At least 2 years’ experience in long-term care, assisted living, home health, or hospital settings (preferred)
  • Experience working with residents with Alzheimer’s or related dementias
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks effectively
  • Knowledge of federal and state regulations, and nursing practices related to health and wellness
  • Proficiency in computer skills, including Microsoft Office (Windows, Outlook, Excel), with the ability to learn new applications
  • Physical ability to stand, walk, sit, use motor skills, reach, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, talk, hear, and smell; capable of lifting or carrying up to 50 lbs; use proper body mechanics.
