Job summary

Viva Senior Living in Gainesville, GA seeks a Wellness Nurse to provide care, medication administration, and resident monitoring in a part-time role with potential to become full-time. The position requires an LPN license (State of New York) and a high school diploma or GED, with strong compassion and adherence to the Resident Bill of Rights.

The Wellness Nurse will work under the Wellness Director, coordinate with care staff, and ensure compliance with applicable laws and facility policies

Qualifications

• Must possess a valid LPN license issued by the State of New York.
• Must possess, at a minimum, a high school diploma or a GED.
• Must be able to read, write, speak and understand English.

Responsibilities

• Provide care, treatment, and medication administration to assigned residents and monitor conditions per plans of care and laws.
• Assist with oversight of ancillary care staff in the absence of the Wellness Director or Assistant Wellness Director.
• Provide care to assigned residents based on plans of care.
• Medication assistance and/or administration with the Five Rights of Medication Administration.
• Reordering and receipt of medications.
• Provide personal care and ADL assistance.
• Supervision of Care staff.
• Maintains shift-to-shift reports.
• Provides emergency assistance to residents with appropriate follow-up.
• Obtains and transcribes physician orders.
