Qualifications
- Current nursing license and state registration (LPN or RN)
- Graduate from an accredited school of practical nursing
- Three years’ experience in assessment and geriatric nursing preferred
- Compassion and willingness to learn to support residents
Responsibilities
- Assist in coordination of the resident admission process including screening, assessment, and care needs
- Ensure care is delivered as indicated in resident care plans
- Medication and treatment administration per physicians’ orders
- Coordinate care with outside providers including resident physicians
- Document and report care provided and resident observations
- Maintain knowledge of state regulations, policies, and procedures
