Job summary

Wilmington Family YMCA in Wilmington, CA is seeking a part-time Healthy Lifestyles Coordinator to create a welcoming fitness environment and help members achieve healthy living goals. The role focuses on assisting the Healthy Lifestyles Director, coordinating activities, and supporting member retention through programs and events.

Responsibilities include monitoring the fitness area, talking with members, and delivering high-quality customer service while upholding YMCA policies and safety

Qualifications

• High School Diploma required; Bachelor's degree in Physical Education, Kinesiology, Exercise Science, or related field preferred.

Responsibilities

• Create a welcoming environment in YMCA program areas and greet members by name with a smile.
• Connect with members to support their health goals and match interests to YMCA programs.
• Conduct appointments with members to help them achieve fitness goals.
• Monitor fitness area and ensure equipment is clean and functioning; demonstrate proper form when needed.
• Assist Healthy Lifestyles Director and staff with training, scheduling, and administrative tasks.
