Job summary

Partnership for Healthy Lincoln, in collaboration with AmeriCorps, seeks enthusiastic individuals to teach youth cooking, gardening and physical activity in Lincoln Title I schools.

This is a one-year commitment (Aug 2026–Jul 2027) requiring 300 hours (about 10 hours per week). All training is provided to prepare you for service and leadership development.

Qualifications

  • All training is provided; candidates must enjoy cooking, gardening, and physical activity.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills required; experience with children preferred.
  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • US Citizen or Legal Permanent Resident status required.
  • Candidates must pass a Criminal Offender Record Information check.

Responsibilities

  • Teach youth cooking, gardening, and physical activity skills.
  • Support Lincoln Title I schools through AmeriCorps Wellness initiatives.
  • Commit to a one-year term (Aug 2026–Jul 2027) and complete 300 hours.

Job description

Partnership for Healthy Lincoln is partnering with AmeriCorps to provide Lincoln Title I schools with Wellness Clubs and we're looking for enthusiastic individuals who are passionate about healthy living to teach youth cooking, gardening and physical activity skills!

This is a one year commitment that requires completing 300 hours within a year, 10 hours a week, August 2026-July 2027. All training provided.
