The role focuses on wellness programming, personal training, and member engagement in Philadelphia, PA. The Program Manager I will lead operational aspects of an on-site fitness program, manage staff, ensure client satisfaction, and drive program outcomes with data-driven reports.

Qualifications

• Associate’s degree or higher in Exercise Science, Health Promotion, Kinesiology or related discipline or equivalent.
• At least 2 years of related industry experience.
• CPR/AED/First Aid certifications required with in-person component by start date.
• NCCA Accredited Personal Trainer certification required.
• Group Exercise certification required within 30 days if not current.
• Ability to lead, manage and operate a fitness center.
• Strong interpersonal and customer service skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage and direct all operational aspects of an on-site fitness program to maximize participation and results.
• Develop and implement the yearly strategic business plan and budget; ensure contract compliance.
• Lead staff meetings; supervise and develop team members and coordinate client events.
• Maintain client relationships to ensure high satisfaction and program value.
• Direct implementation of fitness programs, health education, and group events; coordinate marketing.
• Track data; produce management reports and oversee records and confidentiality.
• Conduct safety checks and audits; supervise floor activities, training, and orientations.
• Introduce new HealthFitness programs and services in collaboration with leadership.
• Other duties as needed.
