Job summary

Othership is seeking a dependable Deckhand to maintain high cleanliness standards across all areas, including front desk, locker rooms, and wellness spaces. You will work independently and as part of a team, following a set cleaning checklist and ensuring guest spaces stay pristine.

Responsibilities include sanitizing surfaces, managing laundry, and maintaining floors in saunas and pools. This role offers part-time hours and requires early mornings, evenings, weekends, or holidays.

Qualifications

• Availability to work early mornings, late evenings, weekends, and/or holidays per the needs of the business.
• Prior cleaning experience strongly preferred.
• A high standard of cleanliness and attention to detail.
• Ability to follow instructions.
• Time-management skills.

Responsibilities

• Overseeing cleanliness of all common areas including front desk, locker area, tea lounge, sauna, pools, washrooms, and staff room.
• Clean and disinfect surfaces and high-touch areas inside and outside lockers and door handles.
• Sweep common areas, remove hair and debris, and maintain general cleanliness.
• Squeegee and mop sauna, cold plunge, and dunk shower floors to avoid standing water.
• Monitor and manage laundry, wash/dry towels, and handle off-site laundry duties as needed.
• Clean washrooms: sinks, counters, floors, toilets, showers.
• Vacuum tea lounge furniture and floors; remove garbage.
• Work independently or with team and follow a cleaning checklist.
