Job summary

Valencia at Draper is seeking a Wellness Director to lead resident care in our Utah assisted living community. You will supervise the care team, ensure compliance with Utah regulations, and partner with families and physicians.

You will report directly to the Executive Director. Required: active Utah RN license, CPR and First Aid, and 3–5 years nursing leadership experience. This role offers autonomy within a supportive team and competitive benefits.

Qualifications

• Active Utah RN license.
• CPR and First Aid certification.
• Associate's degree or higher.
• 3–5 years of nursing leadership experience preferred.
• Strong communication and leadership skills.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.

Responsibilities

• Perform resident assessments (move-in, 6-month, change of condition) and create/update service plans.
• Train caregivers on medication administration and delegate med passes.
• Review resident medications every six months and oversee storage/records.
• Coordinate with families, physicians, pharmacy, hospice and home health.
• Hire, schedule, train and evaluate caregivers with support from Care Coordinators.
• Manage the care budget and minimize agency staffing.
• Keep the community survey-ready and compliant with Utah assisted living rules.
• Do pre-admission assessments and help with tours and family inquiries.
