Job summary

LOGAN Community Resources, Inc. seeks a Wellness Direct Support Professional to assist the Wellness Program Manager in planning, coordinating, and delivering Wellness Services for LOGAN and for individuals in St. Joseph County with developmental disabilities.

The role involves organizing weekly activities, creating calendars, and maintaining participant forms. You’ll work with schools and community partners, supervise volunteers, and help participants in daily activities with respect and safety.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Two years’ experience with individuals with developmental disabilities preferred.
• CPR/First Aid and Mandt System certifications required (training provided by LOGAN).
• Must have valid driver's license and ability to transport participants.
• Computer skills including Publisher and Excel.

Responsibilities

• Assist Wellness Program Manager at ongoing weekly Wellness Activities.
• Plan Young Adult Recreation Activities and coordinate with Adult Recreation Calendar.
• Create and distribute Young Adults Activity Calendar and ensure staff coverage.
• Outreach to local schools and community programs for referrals.
• Maintain Annual Participation Forms and update mailing lists.
• Provide liaison with community and promote integration through recreation.
• Educate and supervise volunteers at Wellness Activities.
• Complete paperwork (incident reports, mileage logs) promptly.
