Brief Description

The Wellness Coordinator serves as the leader and guide to our Resident Care associates with a focus on promoting resident well-being, family satisfaction, and exceptional care. Through assessments, training, medication management, and daily rounds, our Wellness Coordinators ensure that our residents lead healthy and happy lives. They oversee our Caregivers and Med Techs, fostering their professional growth and creating a positive team environment. Reporting to the Resident Care Manager, Wellness Coordinators are the frontline leaders of the Resident Care team. They value enhancing residents' quality of life and building meaningful relationships.

Our Resident Care Department provides individualized care to seniors requiring assistance with personal tasks, such as bathing, toileting, dressing, mobility, medication administration, and social activities, always maintaining resident dignity and independence.

Main Job Tasks and Responsibilities

1. Ensure appropriate staff coverage through hiring, scheduling, and daily assignments.
2. Manage payroll, counseling, motivation, performance appraisals, coaching, training, and recognition for Resident Care staff.
3. Lead and support Caregivers and Med Techs, setting a positive example and aiding their professional development.
4. Maintain the Resident Care budget related to staff hours, supplies, and care levels under the Resident Care Manager's guidance.
5. Assist with resident assessments and maintain accurate service plans.
6. Communicate effectively across community levels, handle multiple priorities, and make resident-focused decisions.
7. Encourage staff involvement in activities to enhance resident engagement.
8. Follow up on resident concerns, health issues, and participate in care conferences with families.
9. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations.
10. Administer medication management using eMAR to ensure correct medication delivery.
11. Participate in on-call rotations and perform other duties as assigned.

Job Requirements

• Associates or Bachelor’s degree in a related field
• CPR certification
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and related applications
• LPN in North Carolina; preferred in MI and VA
• Leadership and staff scheduling experience
• Experience in assisted living or memory care preferred
• Availability to work weekends and holidays

Physical Requirements

• Manual dexterity, sensory skills, and mobility
• Ability to follow instructions and handle physical tasks, including lifting up to 50 pounds
• Repetitive movements and constant mobility
