Job summary

YMCA of the Suncoast Greater Palm Harbor Branch is seeking a Wellness Trainee to support the Wellness Floor Coach program. Under the Wellness Director, you will help greet members, guide them to staff for training, and ensure safe, clean fitness areas.

The role emphasizes knowledge of health and wellness, strong communication, and willingness to learn within 60 days to transition to Wellness Coach; CPR/AED and First Aid certification are required upon hire.

Qualifications

• Must be able to communicate effectively while guiding members through basic strength and cardio.
• Must be a good listener and clear in conveying instructions and safety.
• Basic knowledge of member service concepts and YMCA wellness practices.

Responsibilities

• Greet members and assist with training needs within 60 days.
• Monitor wellness areas and maintain a clean, organized facility.
• Explain guidelines, answer questions, and refer to staff for advanced training.
