Job summary

YMCA in Hoover, AL is hiring a part-time Wellness Associate to guide and motivate members on their fitness journey. You’ll work on the wellness floor, help with equipment, and lead orientations like EGYM while upholding the YMCA mission.

Schedule is 9 AM–4 PM on weekdays and Saturdays. You’ll build relationships, provide basic wellness guidance, keep areas safe, and support member success with a positive, service-oriented attitude. YMCA offers flexible scheduling and growth opportunities.

Responsibilities

• Connect with members on the wellness floor and build genuine relationships.
• Help members feel comfortable and confident using fitness equipment.
• Provide basic wellness guidance and recommend programs based on goals.
• Lead orientations like EGYM and introduce members to available resources.
• Motivate and encourage members to stay consistent and reach their goals.
• Give tours to potential members and share the YMCA's impact and mission.
• Keep the fitness area clean, organized, and safe for everyone.
• Monitor equipment and report any issues or safety concerns.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies and follow safety procedures.
