Job summary

YMCA of the Roses is seeking a friendly and dependable part-time Wellness Attendant for the Shrewsbury Branch. This role involves 12-15 hours per week, monitoring the fitness center, assisting members with equipment, and ensuring a safe, welcoming environment.

The ideal candidate is passionate about health, possesses strong interpersonal skills, and is committed to supporting the community’s wellness initiatives. Responsibilities include providing excellent service and maintaining cleanliness in the Wellness Center.

Qualifications

• At least 16 years of age.
• Obtain CPR PRO/AED/First Aid certification within 3 months of hire.
• Complete required trainings within specified timeframes.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the fitness center and ensure safety.
• Assist members with equipment and provide excellent service.
• Clean equipment and maintain a pleasant environment.

Skills

Ability to work well with people

Knowledge of strength training and cardio equipment

Education

High school diploma or equivalent preferred
