The successful candidate will have a high school diploma, four years of related experience including pool maintenance, and must obtain or hold a Certified Pool Operator certificate.

Qualifications

  • Four years of related experience, including two years in maintenance or pool maintenance.
  • Certified Pool Operator certificate or ability to obtain one within six months.
  • Ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Courteous and helpful interaction with staff, students, and visitors.
  • Alertness to safety and preventive maintenance.

Responsibilities

  • Ensures the swimming pool, spa, vortex are operational and safe.
  • Responsible for the ordering of supplies for the swimming pool.
  • Ensures building and staff are ready to open the facility daily.
  • Monitors and trains lifeguards on chlorine and PH levels for safety.
  • Daily inspections of all exercise equipment.
  • Assist Director with Facility Risk Assessment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Summary of Job Duties and Responsibilities:

Minimum Education Requirements:
  • High school graduate or equivalent.
Minimum Experience and Skill Requirements:
  • Four years related experience including two years of general maintenance and/or swimming pool maintenance.
  • Certified Pool Operator Certificate or ability to obtain one within six months of employment.
  • Alertness and ability to follow written and oral instructions.
  • Must be able to deal with employees, students and visitors in a courteous and helpful manner.
Preferred Education and/or Experience Qualifications:
  • One-year supervisory experience preferred.
  • Management course preferred.
