Job summary

The YMCA of Florida’s First Coast is seeking a Branch Healthy Living Director to lead health and wellness programs, supervise staff, and ensure strategic alignment with the YMCA mission. This role requires directing fitness initiatives, managing budgets, and developing community partnerships to promote wellness across the branch.

The ideal candidate holds a 4-year degree in a related field and has several years of supervisory experience in wellness management, with relevant certifications.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in exercise science, health, physical education or equivalent.
• 3-5 years in health and wellness management, incl. program development and fiscal management.
• 2-5 years supervisory experience with both FT and PT staff; ability to motivate and train staff.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of branch healthy living programs (group exercise, personal training, wellness center).
• Develop and monitor department budget with Branch Leader assistance.
• Recruit, hire and train staff to deliver member-focused wellness programs.
• Provide strategic leadership on Healthy Living initiatives and partnerships.
• Ensure staff certifications and documentation meet YMCA guidelines.
