Lampeter-Strasburg YMCA is seeking a motivated Wellness Attendant to assist members with a welcoming, safe fitness experience at the Lampeter-Strasburg YMCA in Lancaster, PA. This part-time role includes helping members on the fitness floor, monitoring safety, and maintaining a clean, inviting space.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent, and CPR/AED/First Aid certification or willingness to obtain.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• CPR, AED, and First Aid certification required or willingness to obtain upon hire.
• Knowledge of strength training and cardiovascular fitness equipment.
• Strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to maintain accurate records and complete basic documentation.
• Ability to lift up to 45 pounds and remain active throughout the shift.

Responsibilities

• Welcome members and guests while providing outstanding customer service and support.
• Monitor the Wellness Center to promote safe exercise practices and proper equipment use.
• Assist members with general fitness floor questions and offer guidance on equipment operation.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and inviting fitness environment by routinely cleaning and resetting equipment and workout areas.
• Conduct regular facility checks and promptly report damaged equipment, maintenance concerns, or supply needs.
• Track attendance and complete basic records, reports, and documentation as required.
• Respond appropriately to emergencies, incidents, and member concerns in accordance with YMCA policies and procedures.
• Support a positive atmosphere that encourages member engagement, safety, and wellness success.
