Job summary

Mother’s Market & Kitchen seeks VitaCare Clerks to be the first point of contact for customers exploring vitamins, sports nutrition, supplements, herbs, and natural health products. You will greet shoppers, compare products, and guide research resources—without giving medical advice. Hourly pay ranges from $16.90 to $20.00.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Prior customer service experience; familiarity with vitamins/supplements a plus.
• Solid verbal communication and basic English literacy.
• Comfortable multitasking in a busy retail environment.
• Basic computer competency (email, potential point-of-sale systems).
• Punctual, dependable, friendly, and team oriented.
• Passionate about customer service and product knowledge.
• Able to support, guide, or mentor newer VitaCare clerks.

Responsibilities

• Support store operations: assist with cashier settlements, promotional displays, and shift coordination.
• Engage customers: greet and assist customers exploring vitamins, sports nutrition, minerals, herbs, and condition-specific supplements; provide product comparisons and point toward research resources.
• Merchandise and stock: keep VitaCare shelves stocked, rotate inventory, check expiration dates, and maintain facings.
• Maintain store standards: daily visual checks of the VitaCare area ensuring cleanliness, safety compliance, and hazard removal; tag empty spaces as necessary.
• Support ordering and receiving: assist with inventory restocking including special orders; verify delivery invoices and received items for accuracy.
• Elevate merchandising: help design and execute product displays and promotional setups to highlight supplements and drive interest.
• Step in as staff support: assist with cashiering, restocking, or other departmental tasks as needed, covering breaks or gaps.
