Wellness: Active Older Adult / Group Exercise Instructor
Join Beaver County YMCA as a Group Exercise Instructor focused on active older adults. This part‑time role pays $10.25–$11.00 per hour and is based in New Brighton, PA.
Qualifications
- YMCA Group Exercise Instructor Certification or an equivalent group exercise certification.
- Current CPR certification.
- Professional appearance and adherence to the YMCA Group Exercise Dress Policy.
Basic Function
Responsible for the safety, education, and leadership of Group Exercise class participants.
Responsibilities
- Record participant numbers after each class in the Aerobic Binder.
- Maintain proper safety regulations and conditions.
- Demonstrate professional conduct and a neat appearance.
- Provide individual coaching and guidance tailored to each participant’s fitness level.
- Ensure classes are enjoyable, efficient, and physically challenging, incorporating modifications where appropriate.
- Share information about YMCA programs and schedules with participants.
- Instruct classes following YMCA policies, covering all class components and using proper teaching techniques.
- Promote the YMCA mission at all times.
- Suggest class improvements and attend meetings and training sessions as required.
- Perform other duties related to the welfare of the Association.
