Job summary

Florence Copper is seeking a Wellfield Maintenance Technician to troubleshoot, repair, and keep our wellfield equipment in peak condition. The role focuses on real-time problem solving, preventive maintenance, and meticulous record-keeping to minimize downtime.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years in mechanical/maintenance trades, with preference for SXEW or water treatment exposure, strong blueprint-reading skills, and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in mechanical/maintenance trades.
• Experience in SXEW, wellfield, or water treatment operations is a big plus.
• Proven ability to read and follow written instructions.
• Attention to detail and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
• Experience with HDPE pipe fusion is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting mechanical and equipment problems in real time.
• Installing, repairing, maintaining, and overhauling pumps, motors, and other industrial equipment.
• Performing preventative maintenance and mechanical inspections to minimize downtime.
• Repairing, fabricating, and rebuilding wellfield systems and components.
• Reading and interpreting blueprints, schematics, and technical documents to diagnose issues.
• Making decisions based on technical documentation and practical mechanical experience.
• Using hydraulics, pneumatics, welding, and metalwork skills as needed.
• Completing Work Orders, ordering parts, and maintaining maintenance records.
• Performing pre-use equipment checks and safety inspections.
• Following all safety rules and procedures at all times.
• Assisting other maintenance and operations personnel as needed.
• Working independently or collaboratively to complete routine tasks and special projects.
