Job summary

UAB Medicine seeks an Advisor for Transitions, Life, and Achievement Support (ATLAS) to support postdocs, residents, fellows, and junior faculty. This full‑time role focuses on wellbeing, resource navigation, and smooth transitions between campus and community services.

The ATLAS team partners with program and institutional leaders to implement strategies that enhance personal and occupational wellbeing, through ongoing follow‑ups and targeted interventions within the Office of Wellness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field and five years of related experience.
• Licensure as LICSW, LPC, or LMFT is required.
• Knowledge of campus and community resources is essential.

Responsibilities

• Publicise ATLAS resources through orientation sessions and materials.
• Reach out to new postdocs and faculty for wellbeing check-ins.
• Provide crisis intervention and coordinate mental health referrals.
• Offer follow-up support during high-stress periods and transitions.
• Navigate and connect learners to medical, housing, and financial resources.
• Collaborate with program leaders to improve postgraduate wellbeing.
