Job summary

Waiakea Hawaiian Volcanic Water seeks a Well Technician to perform daily assignments,ISO cleanings, tanker filling, and quality sampling at our bottling plant. You will handle GMP-compliant tasks, paperwork, and routine maintenance while upholding safety standards and company values.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED required.
  • Knowledge of GMP, First Aid, and Process improvement.
  • Maintenance skills and knowledge preferred.
  • Quality and Sanitation experience preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Clean & fill ISO containers.
  • Fill the tanker for plant operation.
  • Complete paperwork for tankers and ISOs.
  • Daily sanitation of Well equipment.
  • Take quality samples for each tanker/ISO.
  • Complete weekly PMs for assigned tasks.
  • Build Flexi containers.
  • Inspect ISOs including main valves and top hatch.

Position Overview
  • The Well Technician is responsible for ensuring completing daily assignments, ISO cleanings, tanker filling, paperwork, and quality sampling. Waiakea Hawaiian Volcanic Water sources, manufactures and produces bottled water from start to finish at our Bottling Plant. The Well Technician is a full-time position.

Essential Job Functions:
  • Cleaning & filling ISO containers
  • Filling the tanker for the plant operation
  • Completing paperwork required for filling tankers and ISO’s
  • Completing daily sanitation on Well equipment
  • Taking quality samples for each tanker and ISO
  • Completing weekly PM’s assigned
  • Building Flexi containers
  • Taking quality samples of the ISO’s
  • Inspect ISO’s including the main valves, and top hatch
  • Sanitizing the sanitation shed equipment at the beginning of the shift
  • Complete cleaning paperwork
  • Completing weekly PM’s for the sanitation shed
  • Regular yard maintenance and ground maintenance
  • Adheres to the highest standards of company safety programs, guidelines, rules, and regulations
  • Strictly always follows Waiakea’s Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP’s) and Food Safety Standards

Requirements
  • Excellent communication & attention to detail
  • Complies with all standard safety practices, safety rules, good manufacturing practices and all other company rules and requirements.
  • Required to continuously stand, walk, reach with arms & hands
  • Required to continuously use hands to handle product, materials, and machine
  • Required to frequently twist, bend, stoop, lift, climb and balance
  • Required to frequently lift and or move 10-20 pounds, lift and or move 20-30 pounds with reasonable accommodation, lift and or move 40-50 pounds with the aid of a co-worker and/or reasonable accommodations
  • Ability to use a computer or tablet to complete paperwork
  • Ability to comprehend basic verbal and written instructions
  • Regular and predictable attendance is an essential function of the job
Education and Experience:
  • High school diploma/ GED required
