Job summary

NES Fircroft is seeking a senior operations leader to oversee safe, efficient work areas and coordinate across Operators, Maintenance, Technical and Administration staff. You will work with the Operations Leader and engineers to optimize volumes, expenses and long-term value, while ensuring compliance with company and government regulations in a complex industrial setting.

Responsibilities

• Ensures safe and efficient operation of the work area.
• Supports Health, Safety and Environment matters.
• Follows company and government regulations.
• Directs the activities of Operators, Maintenance, Technical and Admin staff with the Operations Leader.
• Collaborates with engineers to optimize area volumes, expenses and long-term value.
• Tracks production volume, operating expenses and budgets.
• Coordinates with Facilities Engineers to ensure safe and efficient facilities.
• Works with third-party producers to optimize performance.
• Recommends improvements in operations and maintenance processes.
• Organizes and executes major/minor turn-arounds with the Lead Operator.
• Commissiones and starts-up new facilities.
• Mentors field personnel and contributes to training and development.
• Provides input to employee assessments and maintains leadership presence.
• Establishes staff schedules including weekends/holidays/vacations.
• Performs relief duties for the Operations Leader.

Key Accountabilities

• Ensures the safe and efficient operation of the work area.

• Works closely with the Operations Leader to direct the activities of the Operators, Maintenance Personnel, Technical Staff and Administration staff.
• Works with engineers and Optimization Specialists to optimize area volumes, expenses and long term value.
• Assists with production volume tracking, operating expense tracking, cash generated analysis and budgets.
• Works with Facilities Engineers to ensure existing and new facilities are safe and efficient.
• Works with third party producers to ensure optimal performance.
• Makes recommendations for improvement in operations and maintenance processes.
• Works with Lead Operator to organize and execute major/minor turn-arounds.
• Commissions and starts-up new facilities.
• Assists the training and development of field personnel by providing mentorship, technical knowledge and guidance.
• Provides input to employee assessments and reviews, provides strong field presence and mentorship for field staff.
• Establishes staff schedules such as weekend, holiday and vacation coverage.
• Performs relief duties for the Operations Leader.
