Job summary

Smith Pump Company is seeking a Well Service Crew Manager to lead our field service rig crew and ensure safe, efficient operations across Texas. This hands-on supervisor role places you on the rig with three or more technicians, while also coordinating with customers and scheduling work.

You will oversee licensing for pump installation, develop your crew, and drive performance and safety programs. A Texas Pump Installer license is required or a clear plan to obtain it with company support.

Qualifications

• Three or more years of pump field service or well service rig experience.
• Experience supervising or leading a field crew.
• Working knowledge of water pumps and mechanical/electrical equipment.
• Ability to read and follow written and verbal instructions, drawings, and equipment documentation.
• Clear written and verbal communication with customers, engineers, and crew.

Responsibilities

• Lead the crew on field projects and manage daily/weekly priorities across Texas.
• Own and coordinate license responsibilities for pump installation work performed by the crew.
• Develop apprentices and prepare crew members for licensing and advancement.
