Job summary

PERI is seeking a Yard Associate in Fontana, CA to support the stockyard through welding tasks (aluminum and steel) and prep/final prep of materials. You will operate tools and assist with inventory and yard maintenance while upholding a safety-first culture.

You’ll need welding experience, the ability to read a tape measure, English literacy, and flexibility to work overtime. Forklift knowledge is preferred.

Qualifications

• Welding experience is required.
• Must be able to read and write in English.
• Forklift knowledge is preferred.
• Experience with small hand and power tools and reading a tape measure is beneficial.

Responsibilities

• Performs welding tasks as needed (aluminum and steel).
• Prep, weld, and final prep all material required for welding.
• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment.
• Assist with inventory preparation and counting.
• Operate powered industrial equipment.
• Assist with yard maintenance and clean-up.
• Complete all assigned tasks within the designated timeframe.
• Maintain a safe and clean work environment by following safety procedures.
