Southeast Community College seeks an Adjunct Instructor for Welding Technology - PTT to deliver welding courses across campus and online settings for the 2026-2027 year. This part-time, temporary role entails teaching in a variety of formats including in-person, online, and hybrid environments.

The successful candidate will bring welding expertise, develop engaging lessons, maintain student records, and support assessment activities while fostering an inclusive learning culture.

Qualifications

• Current knowledge of and ability to teach Welding Technology courses.
• Ability to develop and incorporate engaged learning teaching strategies in class and online.
• Ability to relate to colleagues, staff, students, and supervisors of diverse backgrounds in a positive manner.
• Ability to devise and utilize appropriate evaluation methods for classroom use.
• Ability to communicate effectively in writing, in person, and on the phone.
• Ability to use basic computer skills.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds for short distances.

Responsibilities

• Provide instruction according to course objectives in classroom, online, hybrid, or off-campus settings.
• Prepare and administer evaluation instruments and maintain accurate student records.
• Assist in department assessment data collection and interpretation.
• Foster an inclusive environment where all students feel welcome and valued.
• Operate audiovisual and other teaching equipment as required.
• May perform additional duties as assigned and adapt to varied schedules and locations.
