Job summary

Welding-Lexington in Lexington, TN is seeking a welder to operate manual and automated equipment for the production of welded components.

The role requires identifying priorities, following safety guidelines, using welding torches and arc welders, welding components with clamps, inspecting tolerances, monitoring processes to prevent distortion, maintaining SOP-based specs, keeping daily production records, and performing basic math while reading a tape measure.

Qualifications

Brazing or welding experience preferred.
Detail-oriented and precise workmanship.
Ability to work independently and interpret decimals/fractions.

Responsibilities

Identify and prioritize what work is to be performed.
Follow all safety guidelines while performing duties and operating equipment.
Ability to use welding torches and arcs welders in a manufacturing environment.
Weld various components while using clamps and other holding devices.
Inspect machining operations and finished product against specified tolerances.
Monitor all welding processes and ensure the absence of shrinkage and distortion.
Maintain welding specifications based on SOPs, quality standards, and training.
Maintain accurate daily production records.
Basic math and computer skills.
Ability to read a tape measure.
Use a range of hand and power tools.
Other duties, as assigned.
